About the event:
THE TWILIGHT 5K
The Twilight weekend of sporting events kicks off early Saturday morning with the Twilight 5k run/walk event. This run/walk is open to participants of all athletic levels, starting and finishing in downtown Athens. The course is flat for the first 2K and has a couple rolling hills about between 2 and 4 K. It finishes fairly flat. There are age graded categories and awards for men and women
Classes are 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24,25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+

Saturday night, the top fifteen men and top fifteen women compete on the Twilight Criterium course in a 1 mile race for $1,000 in prize money. Staging for this event is on the 3rd turn at the Athletes Hospitality area (Washington at Thomas). Time: 7:15 pm.
